Hume Park Animal Hospital Full Service & Professional Animal Hospital and is located near Hume Park in New Westminster. As your local veterinarian in New Westminster, we strive to combine compassionate care with highest quality of veterinary medicine and surgery. With a knowledgeable team, we serve patients in New Westminster, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Vancouver and surrounding areas. Our primary goal is to maintain the maximum quality of life for our patients through disease prevention, treatment, and client education. We believe that excellent customer care stems from not only how we treat our clients, but how we treat their pets. We are constantly striving to create the most comfortable environment possible while your pets are in our care.

A man of few words, unless in a consult room, Dr Kahlon has been practicing veterinary medicine in BC since 2007. Loves to educate clients on making informed decisions.
Dr Joy Peng
Veterinarian
Joy graduated as a veterinarian from the University of Queensland, Australia. She prides herself on compassionate, quality care for her patients and helping both patients and owners feel comfortable. Joy is an avid horsewoman with a passion for dressage and eventing. She also enjoys reading, Broadway and classical music, and travelling. She can help you in English and Mandarin.
Shae
Veterinary Technician
As a Veterinary Technician, Shae has worked alongside Dr. Kahlon for many years, forming a seamless and highly effective team. She is committed to providing the highest standard of medical support for our patients, drawing on years of shared experience and clinical expertise. Outside of the clinic, Shae’s love for animals is reflected in the bond she shares with her cat, Kuro (Kitten). Shae can help you in English.
Hannah
Veterinary Technician Assistant
Hannah is a dedicated Lead Veterinary Assistant who thrives on providing exceptional service to our clients and their beloved pets. Her deep-rooted passion for animal welfare is evident in every interaction, and she is currently working toward her goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). At home, Hannah’s love for animals continues with her feline companion, Akki. Hannah can help you in English and Tagalog

Veterinary Office Assistant
As a Veterinary Office Assistant, Heloisa is committed to ensuring that every patient and owner feels supported and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Driven by a lifelong love for animals, she aspires to further her education to become a Veterinarian. Heloisa’s home is a busy one, shared with her four beloved cats: Sammy, Pepper, Smore, and the wonderfully named Fluffy Pancakes. Heloisa can help you in English and Portuguese (Brazil)

Practice Manager
Giovanna brings her expertise to Hume Park as our Practice Manager. With both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Business Administration, she streamlines our administrative operations to provide the highest level of support to our medical team, our clients, and our patients. Giovanna is dedicated to upholding our clinic’s mission, where compassion meets exceptional medicine, ensuring a seamless and caring experience for everyone. Brambles
Remote team lead!
Purrfessor Brambles has officially retired from active clinical duties to take on an essential work-from-home role. While she possesses great littership skills, Brambles found herself 'beefing' a bit too often with our other feline visitors. To ensure a stress-free environment for our patients, she now manages our team remotely, proving she is still a very impawtant part of the family. Brambles can help you in Meow.
